Kim
Crawford, Eddie Moses and Linda Crawford
During the 60's, the Beatles era, Pasadena had several nightclubs with live music and dancing. One, the Chalon, was located on Colorado Boulevard, a block east of Rosemead. For several years it was the place to go for dining, dancing or just socializing. Today, it's still the place to go; however, it's now called "Frank and Deans." The restaurant features Italian food but in the bar area they dance to karaoke on Wednesday and Thursday nights and to a live band on the weekends.
On Wednesday,
September 11th, I went to Frank and Deans to enjoy the music and listen to some
very talented karaoke singers, mostly Frank Sinatra imitators. I sat at the bar
talking to a young lady when she noticed a couple sit behind us. She
turned around and said, "Hi Kim." The guy returned her greeting.
Iíve known only one man named Kim and that was at Muir, one of the La CaÒada
twins, Kim and Kaye Crawford. I turned around, looked at this guy and
tried to picture what Kim would look like almost fifty years later.
I yelled out,
ìAre you Kim Crawford,î his rely was a resounding YES!!!
Dinner and
Conversation
They met at the Gordon Biersch Brewery in Laguna Hills and reminisced. They talked about keeping in touch, about people they would like to see and shared pictures and stories. They had a great time.
They are, left to right: Lyn (Linda Scofield) Silverthorne, Scott Silverthorne, visiting from Atlanta, Lois Rothschild Evezich, Bill Skinner, Aileen Harbison Skinner, Ronald Norick and Marge Norick.
